School Prayer & Song

LESCHENAULT PRAYERS

The Beginning of our Week Prayer

Lord God,
Another weekend is over
and the school week begins again.
We do not know what it will hold for us
but may we do our best at all times.
Please help us to remember that it is best
to lend a willing hand,
and be a friend,
As we try to work together
in our school.
Amen

Prayer for our Country

We celebrate our freedom today,
We celebrate living in this country
Where we are free to be the best we can.
Thank you for all your blessings
on this country.
Please teach us how to use our freedom
to make all your people happy.
Amen

LESCHENAULT SCHOOL SONG
‘BLUE AND GOLD’

Verse 1
Surrounded by ribbons of blue, kookaburras and kangaroos
With nature’s beauty and the estuary, our school is our community
We’ve come to learn, every girl and boy in a welcome culture filled with joy.

Chorus:
We’re Leschenault we stand with pride, hand in hand and side by side
With strong beliefs and dignity, we stand as one for all to see
We’re proud to wear the blue and gold… We are Leschenault.

Verse2
With open arms and open hearts all are welcome at Leschenault
It makes no difference who you are, if you’ve come from near and far
In our classrooms and in our grounds, good cheer and care are always found.

Chorus:
We’re Leschenault we stand with pride, hand in hand and side by side
With strong beliefs and dignity, we stand as one for all to see
We’re proud to wear the blue and gold… We are Leschenault.

Bridge:
We have our faith to see us through, with God as guide to keep us true
Friendships are our priority, we work together in harmony
Respect for each other and ourselves, we hold these values above all else.

Chorus:
We’re Leschenault we stand with pride, hand in hand and side by side
With strong beliefs and dignity, we stand as one for all to see
We’re proud to wear the blue and gold… We are Leschenault.
