Bushfire Plan
Due to our location being in a known Bushfire Prone Area, we utilise a professionally developed Bush Fire Management Plan and Evacuation Procedure to maximise the safety of our students, staff, families and facilities. This plan is designed specifically for Leschenault Catholic Primary School and is designed to inform the staff and parents of the potential risk of bushfire within the school, to outline measures to minimise risk and to assist the principal and the staff with procedures and practices should a bushfire event occur within the vicinity of the school. The PPRR approach is adopted by the Department of Education’s Emergency and Critical Incident Management Policy and is reinforced in the Department’s Principal’s Guide to Bushfire (2016).
